Four Stories Dreaming of Peace
Why did King Taejong, who ascended the throne stained with the blood of political rivals, powerful in-laws, and even his own brothers, give his sons the name Nyeong (寧), meaning peace?
The princes who bore the name Nyeong (寧) spent countless days and nights struggling between desire and duty, despair and restraint, joy and fear, desperately searching for the peace they hoped to attain. Through the lives of King Taejong and his three sons, this work asks the fundamental question: What is peace?
